Travel professionals go by many names. cruise agent, travel agent, trip advisor, travel consultant, cruise planner, trip planner, travel planner and travel advisor are a few such designations. Of course, including the word professional (such as professional travel planner) adds to an already long list.

A key question is whether these descriptions are important to the traveling public. A secondary question is whether the travel professional thinks they are important.

How about you, do you care about the title of the travel professional you use?

Regardless of how you answer, (yes, no, it depends, or it doesn’t matter), the bottom line is whether the services offered met your needs. Are you a “happy camper” at the end of the day? Are you encountering many hassles in planning your trip or vacation?

Did you use a travel consultant?

Or…

…did you use a travel planner? Is there a difference?

Clearly, some titles suggest more of a specialized service, such as cruise agent. Undoubtedly, a travel professional uses a label to show his/her area of specialization. However, no one would suggest that only a cruise agent provides the required services in a superlative way.

A travel professional referred to as a travel agent (or any other designation) may have the capability of doing a superb job, even though that job deals with cruising.

For people generally looking for an all inclusive vacation then the first place that comes to mind is the Caribbean. Although there is a great deal of debate over the subject, the demand for all inclusive Caribbean vacations does not seem to be dwindling. The only constant with every vacation booked is that the accommodation is included as part of the price. All meals and any additional food are included in this type of package but that is not always the case; with other vacations, it may only be the breakfast that the guests are supplied. Many people can get confused between a full board package and an all inclusive package vacation.

A full board package will include breakfast lunch and supper, but not drinks, whilst an all inclusive Caribbean vacation package will include meals and drinks. Many hotels will also supply their guests with discount vouchers for events, entertainment and meals for example; normally there will be an additional (usually lower) cost attached nevertheless. Most all inclusive Caribbean vacations will however, normally include all these as part of the package; often included are restaurants outside of the hotel complex which means you can make more of your vacation without dipping into your pocket constantly.

Group travel can be a great way of exploring Peru, in particular when it comes to interest-specific trips involving adventurous travel that will probably take you off the beaten track.

The same applies if you’re a party animal: you’ll rather avoid a group of early-risers, museum-lovers.

Small groups are probably the best option. They allow you to share the company without crowding your experience. Moreover, small travel groups have less impact on local communities and environments.
